This will be our return to the Clubhouse
after a very long renovation.
Our guest speaker will be Kim Huggett.
Kim's family moved to Fair Oaks in 1965 and lived at the
corner where the original general store and post office was
in 1895. His parents owned the property for 51 years and
were active in the historical society.
Huggett and his three brothers grew up in Fair Oaks Village,
and he’ll share how his love for the town morphed into
becoming editor of the San Juan Record, flagship of the
county-wide 153,000-circulation Sacramento Suburban
Newspapers, also known as “The Green Sheet.” The San Juan
Record was published from 1933-1980.
