Frank Vincent came to Fair Oaks from Kansas in 1906. He and his
family lived and farmed along Sunset and Kenneth Avenues for many
years. His sons, Earnest, Earl, Walter, and John, all raised their
families in Fair Oaks. Earl was still plowing for locals in the 1980s
and Walter was selling Fair Oaks produce at the Sacramento Farmer’s
Free market as late as the 1960s.
