A note from the webmaster:
Over the past years, as I've done research on various questions regarding Fair Oaks history, I've felt a need for some reference dates on events in Fair Oaks. This resulted in my rereading a number of source documents (always enjoyable) and creating a table of over 200 dates. I've since continued to update and correct the chronology as I do more research.
Please note that an event with only a year will appear at the beginning of the year and may be out of place in that year.
As always in such a project, there will be errors and notable events left out, and I welcome corrections and additions. Many of the dates are recollections of old Fair Oaks residents and I have tried to verify them with newspaper or other "in-time" records, sometimes unsuccessfully. I've provided my reference for each of the dates, and the table of references is included below. Enjoy!
